 Every now and then, when I'm walking through the fields, I notice a Red Tail Hawk following slightly behind and off to one side of me. As much as I would like to believe that I am the "Queen of the Raptors" and the Hawk is following me at this measured distance to show his respect, the real story is that the Hawk is using me to "flush" his dinner - much as a person would use a dog. In spite of my knowing what is really going on, I still prefer to think of myself as "The Queen", and, as an added bonus, my illusion is useful to the hawk.
